AUTUMN RITUAL: A SEASONAL SUPPER CLUB X YOGA

As the bright blue skies began to bite with a crisp edge, we gathered. Autumn is a time to reflect, build strength, realign our intentions. To calm and ground the nervous system before the winds of change descend on us. As we move through each season, we can choose to fight against the change or embrace it. To flow like water into the shift, to assist our bodies in the transformation, from one cycle to the next.

In yoga & auyrveda, we prepare ourselves for the shift into Autumn by balancing the Vata Dosha. Vata symbolises air, space the light & dry, and you may find yourself feeling exposed & striped down by the sudden gusts of wind. In order to balance ourselves during this season it is integral to find stability and grounding, through our movement and eating rituals. This might look like a routine of slower yoga & more breathwork practices to regulate your nervous system, as well as focusing on grounding, nourishing, warm foods.

Our latest Seasonal Supper Club with Samya Studios, celebrated the abundance of the season. Ushering in the Autumn equinox with a delightful menu of warming plates with beautiful root vegetables in abundance. Support yourself this season with Sweet, Sour & Salty tastes. Lots of grounding grains & root vegetables, with a generous serving of healthy oils & fats.
